Wednesday: More warming arrives in Minneapolis

Temperatures have been creeping up in the Twin Cities this week, accelerating our melting and moving us closer to actual spring-feeling weather.

Yesterday we saw the sun fuel a warm-up to 46° – which was a few degrees warmer than expected, and also above-average (43°). Looking ahead, we’ll continue to see warmer weather move in all across Minnesota. Here’s a look at your Minneapolis/St. Paul 7-day forecast:

Looking ahead, we’ll be closely watching snowcover in the Twin Cities. Does it disappear? Does it stick around? Earlier this week I mentioned that if we could shed our snow that Friday/Saturday’s temperatures would get about 3-6 degrees warmer. At this point we’re at about the 2-3 degrees warmer point. We need to shed much more snow today. Stay tuned!
