On December 27 officers from the First Precinct responded to 414 Hennepin Avenue South at approximately 2:12 am, on a report of the sound of gunshots. The call was updated to a shooting when one of the 911 callers reported a male had been shot.
When Officers arrived they located two adult victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical care to a male who had been shot in the hip and to a female who had been shot in the left arm. Both victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) by paramedics.
Officers interviewed witnesses at the shooting scene and are checking with business owners in the area to see if the shooting was captured on surveillance cameras. No arrests have been made.
Officers from the First Precinct will be in the area of the shooting speaking with business owners and community members. Anyone with information is about this shooting, or any other crime is encouraged to speak with the officers.
